The Role

Working primarily in an outpatient setting with occasional inpatient responsibilities, you will care for both adult and pediatric patients while collaborating closely with physicians, fellows, and fellow clinical team members.

In a typical day, you will:

- Independently perform nerve conduction studies on adult and pediatric patients.

- Assist providers during electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular ultrasound procedures.

- Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures, and promote a positive patient experience.

- Review orders, collect and document patient information, and support efficient clinic operations.

- Maintain diagnostic equipment, exam rooms, and laboratory readiness.

- Monitor supplies and inventory while helping ensure smooth clinic workflow.

- Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams regarding study progress and findings.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and support quality and compliance standards.

- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

- Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced technologists as your expertise grows within the department.

This role is ideal for a technologist who enjoys balancing hands-on patient care, technical excellence, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced clinical environment.
