Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our team, supporting the B Department at the NSWC Dahlgren Division. This position is perfect for someone with an Electrical Engineering degree who has a strong desire to learn about Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) and sensor systems on Navy Ships.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the Shipboard EMC Improvement Program (SEMCIP), focusing on test, evaluation, and integration of Navy shipboard sensor systems.
- Characterize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues of fielded systems and develop field fixes.
- Identify EMC vulnerabilities of the systems being tested.
- Support test planning, procedure development, test execution, analyze test data, create test reports, and brief results to leadership.
- Utilize modeling and simulation programs, such as MATLAB and Python, for data analysis.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB, Python)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Active or interim DoW Secret clearance
- Experience in Electrical Engineering, E3, EMI, and/or EMC
- Experience with test, evaluation, and integration of Navy Radar, Communications, and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
Work Environment
This is a full-time onsite role at Dahlgren Base, with occasional travel to shipyards for testing (up to 15%). The position involves working five days per week on average at NSWC Dahlgren.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. i have an older copy of their benefits and can send doc via email
