About this role
Join ProMach and shine. Whether you're creative, strategic, persuasive, or mechanically inclined, there’s a place for you here. Be a problem-solver, a closer, a futurist - whatever inspires you.
At ProMach, you'll be challenged and rewarded as you help improve packaging performance and shape the future of automation. And we’ll be proud to have you on the journey.
Engineering Intern - Summer 2027
At Pharmaworks , we don’t just deploy automation—we architect it from scratch. We design and manufacture state-of-the-art, high-speed automated packaging systems used by the world’s leading pharmaceutical brands.
We believe great automation happens at the exact intersection of great mechanical design and intelligent control code. That’s why for Summer 2027, we are hiring a Collaborative Engineering Duo.
As an Engineering Intern, you will be paired with a peer whose skills complement yours, here is what your team will do:
- Collaborative Design & Engineering: Partner directly with your intern teammate to define the scope of work, map out the engineering strategy, and design the physical and electrical architecture of the automation project.
- Procurement & Project Management: Learn to manage a real-world timeline. You will define the required components, create bills of material, and work with our purchasing team to order parts against tight deadlines.
- Hands-On Assembly & Integration: Step away from the computer and onto the manufacturing floor. You will work together alongside our shop teams to physically assemble the hardware, route the wiring, and mount the components.
- Programming & Commissioning: Bring the mechanism to life by writing the operational logic, setting up the operator interface, and downloading the software to the machine.
- Testing & Final Demo: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize the system at full operational speed, culminating in a live showcase and demonstration to Pharmaworks leadership.
Who We‘re Looking For?
- The Academic Profile: Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
- The Tools: Depending on your track, strong exposure to SolidWorks 3D modeling OR experience with ladder logic, structured text, and electrical schematics.
- The Mindset: Natural builders, tinkerers, and problem solvers who thrive in fast-paced, rapid-prototyping environments and are excited to work on a collaborative team.
This isn’t a "shadowing" internship. This is a 10-12 week fast-paced, high-impact, hands on internship. So, if you want to move past classroom theoretical textbook problems and want to watch your designs turn into functioning usable machinery, your sandbox is waiting in Odessa, FL.
What’s in it for you?
There's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team. We offer an open, communicative environment that fosters individual initiative. We pride ourselves in being a company where people are happy and choose to build a career.
