Job Description

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

Help shape the people strategy behind pharmaceutical manufacturing that makes a difference. As Site HR Director, you’ll join the Cincinnati site leadership team and turn business priorities into practical HR strategies that build capability, strengthen engagement, and support long-term success.

You’ll lead HR for our Cincinnati site, part of the Drug Products Division within the Pharma Services Group, which manufactures oral solid dose pharmaceuticals. You’ll also provide HR leadership to the teams supporting our Indianapolis and Manatí sites.

This is an opportunity to lead and develop an HR team, strengthen operational excellence, and partner with leaders across a complex, regulated business. You’ll bring business insight, sound judgment, and a commitment to helping people and teams do their best work.

What you’ll do:

- Set HR strategy and develop solutions and workforce plans that align with business needs.
- Put core HR processes into practice across a matrix organization, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and development.
- Partner with site leaders to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
- Lead, mentor, and develop HR professionals delivering site HR services, with clear expectations for performance and results.
- Build a culture of engagement that supports strong business performance and operational efficiency.
- Guide communications, training, and change management to support new or expanded HR services and processes, and reinforce consistent leadership practices.
- Coach employees and managers through employee relations matters, including performance concerns, complaints, disciplinary action, and terminations, in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Champion a One Team HR approach by working with Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Business Partners to improve the colleague experience and strengthen our employee value proposition.
- Advise senior leaders and cross-functional partners, using business context and data to inform decisions—even when information is limited and outcomes are uncertain.

- Master’s degree preferred

Experience

- HR expertise and business insight to lead critical projects and relationships
- Experience developing and leading programs, models, or standards for a site or business team
- Recognized HR expertise within client groups and the HR organization
- Expert knowledge of HR structures and Centers of Excellence
- Experience leading HR for a large site or multiple sites or regions, including leading an HR team
