Position summary:

We are seeking an Operating Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of building systems, including HVAC equipment. This role helps deliver a safe, reliable, and productive environment by supporting engineering operations, monitoring equipment performance, and contributing to high-quality site service delivery.

Comp-$43–$50/hour

. What you’ll do:

- Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems and equipment, including HVAC systems
- Support daily engineering operations to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building performance
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs
- Identify operational issues, respond promptly, and escalate as needed
- Maintain logs, records, and maintenance documentation for building and HVAC equipment
- Support equipment tracking and documentation for HVAC assets, including refrigerant-related information where applicable
- Coordinate with site teams, vendors, and contractors to support uninterrupted operations
- Look for practical ways to improve efficiency, service quality, and response times

What we’re looking for:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in building operations, facilities, maintenance, engineering support, or HVAC environments
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, which include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Ability to support HVAC equipment documentation and maintenance tracking processes
- Familiarity with refrigerant-specific HVAC equipment and related recordkeeping is a plus
- Working knowledge of operational systems, maintenance procedures, and safe work practices
- Ability to work within established procedures while exercising sound judgment in day-to-day operations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications:

- Technical, vocational, or trade training in HVAC, building systems, or a related field 3
- Experience supporting commercial HVAC operations, maintenance records, or equipment workflows

- Delivering quality work with attention to safety, timeliness, and effectiveness
- Contributing to smooth engineering operations and accurate HVAC equipment documentation where required

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Expected compensation for this position:

89,000.00 – 104,000.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
