About this role

Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. As Staff Program Manager, AI Integration, you will own how Americas Sales & Delivery Operations actually uses AI every day—across our Headquarters team in Austin and field teams in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and beyond.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role. You will map how work really gets done at Tesla scale, identify where AI or automation can save time, reduce errors, or improve the customer and employee experience, then design, prototype, and drive adoption of practical solutions using Tesla’s internal tools and large language models. You will teach Headquarters and field teams so they trust and actually use the tools. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be hands-on, curious, and skilled at turning messy operational problems into simple, lasting solutions.

- Partner with Headquarters Sales & Delivery teams to map current workflows, surface friction, and prioritize the highest-impact AI and automation opportunities
- Design, prototype, and iterate practical solutions using internal tools and large language models; define success metrics and where a human stays in the loop
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data when deeper builds or integrations are needed; own problem definition, sequencing, and follow-through
- Lead AI training and enablement for field Sales and Delivery teams across the Americas, driving measurable adoption (usage, time saved, error reduction) rather than one-off launches
- Build simple, sticky enablement that lasts—playbooks, real examples, office hours, and feedback loops—and continuously improve tools based on field input
- Define clear norms for responsible use and data handling; partner with Legal, Privacy, and InfoSec as needed
- Own the full AI work portfolio: intake, prioritization, progress tracking, stakeholder updates, and decisions to scale or stop

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Computer science coursework preferred
- 5+ years in program/project management, operations, sales or delivery operations, transformation, internal consulting, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with modern AI tools and large language models—able to prototype real workflows, judge output quality, and teach others
- Proven experience studying how operational work actually gets done and delivering automation or AI solutions that real teams adopt, with clear, measurable results
- Experience training or enabling distributed/field teams, with demonstrated ability to drive sustained adoption rather than one-time events
- Strong communication skills across Headquarters and field audiences; able to explain technical ideas simply and influence without direct authority
- Preferred - Sales, delivery, or retail operations background; Light SQL, Python, or no-code automation experience; Multi-market Americas experience; Bilingual English/Spanish or English/French
