About this role

At Renault Trucks, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
As Chief financial officer for Renault Trucks Alps, you will be a key member of the market leadership team and a trusted business partner to the Managing Director. You will help steer the business of all our operations across Switzerland and Austria, challenging and supporting commercial decisions, driving performance and cash, and helping transform our business model as we accelerate the transition from internal combustion engines to electromobility.

The role is expected to be based in Dietikon (Zurich), with regular travel between Switzerland and Austria. The CFO will report to the Managing Director Renault trucks Alps, with a functional connection to RTE Business control and chief controller.

What will you do:

- Shape and lead financial planning, forecasting and performance management, turning financial and operational data into clear decisions and actions.

- Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute Renault Trucks Alps strategy, balancing profitable growth, customer value, cash generation and long-term resilience.

- Provide clear business insights and constructive challenge on pricing, commercial opportunities, investments, working capital and resource allocation.

- Drive cash and working-capital performance, with particular attention to inventory, receivables, commercial risk and disciplined execution.

- Ensure reliable reporting, sound governance, effective internal controls and compliance with Volvo Group policies and applicable local requirements.

- Oversee business control activities across both countries and build simple, efficient and transparent ways of working.

- Support the transformation of the business, including electromobility, new commercial models, service growth and the development of the Renault Trucks network.

- Lead, develop and empower the Business Control team, creating an environment where people feel safe to contribute, challenge, learn and grow.

- Collaborate closely with Renault Trucks Europe (RTE) Finance and local finance teams, Renault Trucks Financial Services and other internal and external partners.

Your future team:

You will lead two direct reports, covering business control, finance-related activities, sales and operations planning, controlling and pricing support.

Together, the team aims to make finance practical, accessible and value-creating: simplifying decisions, improving execution and helping colleagues understand how individual actions contribute to sustainable business performance.

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together.

Essential:

- Significant experience in finance, business control or a comparable senior finance leadership role, ideally in an international, commercial or industrial environment.

- Strong business partnering capability, with the confidence to constructively challenge decisions and translate complex information into clear recommendations.

- Solid knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, cash and working-capital management, risk, governance and internal control.

- Proven ability to lead and develop people through trust, clarity, feedback and empowerment.

- Experience working across functions, countries or legal entities in a matrix organisation.

- Professional fluency in English and German.

Helpful, but not essential:

- Experience in the automotive, transport, retail, wholesale or business-to-business environment.

- Familiarity with electromobility, service-based business models or business transformation.

- Knowledge of Swiss and Austrian financial, tax, statutory or compliance environments.

- French or another relevant European language.

- A university degree in finance, economics, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

We know that strong candidates may not meet every criterion listed. If this role excites you and you believe your experience can help us succeed, we encourage you to apply. We are looking for a leader who combines care with courage: someone who listens to understand, communicates with positive intent, gives honest and respectful feedback, embraces challenges and learns from experience.

What’s in it for you?

- A high-impact finance leadership role at the heart of a newly established, two-country organisation.

- The opportunity to influence strategy and help turn sustainable transport ambitions into strong business outcomes.

- A workplace where finance is expected to make things easy and efficient, where we value people, and where we build sustainable perspectives.

- A leadership culture founded on trust, inclusion, empowerment, learning and constructive challenge.

- Broad exposure across Renault Trucks and Volvo Group, with opportunities to collaborate internationally and across functions.

- The possibility to grow through new experiences, internal networks, development opportunities and cross-functional or geographical mobility.

Ready for the next move?
If you want to make a real impact in your career, the transportation business is where you want to be. We look forward to meeting you.
